Please read these terms carefully. They are the rules for using the official Chess Mutator website, account features, support channels, and any Chess Mutator mobile game or connected service that links to these terms.

1. Scope and acceptance

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and the operator of the Chess Mutator project (“Chess Mutator”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By visiting the website, creating an account, using an account, downloading or using the mobile game, or contacting support, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the services.

These Terms apply to the official website at chessmutator.com, its pages and assets, web authentication, official support communications, and any official application or service that expressly incorporates them. A separate store, platform, payment, or third-party service may impose additional terms; those terms do not remove your obligations here.

2. Eligibility and authority

You may use the services only if you are legally able to enter a binding agreement. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, use is permitted only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian where required. Do not create an account for a child where applicable law or the relevant app-store age rating prohibits it.

You represent that the information you provide is accurate, that you will keep it current, and that you have authority to accept these Terms for yourself. We may refuse registration or access where necessary to protect users, the service, or our legal rights.

3. Accounts and authentication

Some features require an account. You may create and use only one account for yourself unless we approve otherwise. You must not impersonate another person, use a disposable or unauthorized email address, provide false information, or attempt to register an account on behalf of someone else without permission.

Your password, reset links, active sessions, and access devices are your responsibility. Use a long, unique password, keep your email account secure, sign out of shared devices, and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Never send a password, reset link, access token, publishable key, or other credential to support. We will not ask for your password.

Reset links are security credentials, are intended for one use, and may expire. We may require email confirmation, rate-limit attempts, terminate sessions, or require a new reset flow. Authentication is provided through Supabase; its processing and service terms also apply to the relevant authentication operation.

4. Acceptable use and prohibited conduct

You may use the services only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes and only as intended. You must not, and must not help anyone else to:

• break the law, infringe another person’s rights, or misuse another person’s identity or account;
• probe, scan, test, bypass, disable, or defeat authentication, rate limits, access controls, security measures, or service restrictions;
• introduce malware, destructive code, excessive traffic, automated requests, scraping, crawling, bots, or other interference;
• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, copy, mirror, frame, resell, sublicense, or create derivative works from the services except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• use cheats, exploits, automation, modified clients, unauthorized overlays, or other tools intended to gain an unfair advantage in the game;
• upload or transmit content that is unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, deceptive, invasive of privacy, sexually exploitative, or harmful to children; or
• use the services to test, train, benchmark, or build a competing product without our written permission.

We may investigate suspected violations and preserve relevant information where reasonably necessary. We are not required to disclose security-sensitive detection methods.

5. Game rules, content, and updates

Chess Mutator is a changing game. Rules, mutations, levels, balancing, artwork, progression, account features, availability, and supported devices may change without notice. Descriptions on the website are informational and do not guarantee a particular release date, difficulty, feature, score, progression outcome, or store listing.

We may deploy patches, updates, maintenance, compatibility changes, or security fixes. You are responsible for maintaining a compatible device, operating system, network connection, and current app version. A third-party app store may control installation, billing, refunds, updates, and device access under its own rules.

Unless a separate official purchase notice says otherwise, the current website does not sell virtual currency, items, subscriptions, or paid game content. Nothing here authorizes gambling, wagering, or the transfer of account access.

6. Intellectual property

The Chess Mutator name, logos, game design, rules, software, source materials, text, artwork, characters, environments, mutations, music, audiovisual materials, layout, and compilation are owned by or licensed to the operator and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to access and use the services for personal purposes. This licence ends automatically when your access ends. You may not remove notices, claim our work as your own, use it in advertising or machine-learning datasets, or suggest that we endorse you or your product.

7. Feedback and communications

If you send feedback, bug reports, suggestions, screenshots, or other material, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, modify, analyze, and incorporate it to operate, secure, improve, and promote the services. Do not send confidential information or material you do not have the right to share.

We may contact you about account security, service changes, support requests, legal notices, and operational matters. We do not promise that every request will receive a particular response or that every feature suggestion will be implemented.

8. Third-party services and links

The services may rely on or link to Supabase, Cloudflare, app stores, email providers, hosting providers, analytics or security infrastructure that may be added later, and other third parties. Those providers operate independently. We do not control their availability, content, policies, security, or practices, and we are not responsible for losses caused by a third party to the extent permitted by law.

Use of a third-party service is subject to its own terms and privacy notice. A link is provided for convenience and is not an endorsement or guarantee.

9. Availability, suspension, and termination

We may change, restrict, suspend, discontinue, or remove any part of the services, including accounts and pages, at any time. We may suspend or terminate access immediately if we reasonably believe you breached these Terms, created security or legal risk, abused another user, or used the service fraudulently. We may also suspend access for maintenance, incident response, legal compliance, or protection of the service.

You may stop using the services at any time. To request account deletion or raise an account issue, contact bugraksaglam@gmail.com. Termination does not remove provisions that must survive, including ownership, licences already granted, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, dispute provisions, and rights relating to prior conduct.

10. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the services are provided “as is” and “as available”. We disclaim warranties and conditions, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, satisfactory quality, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, compatibility with every device, preservation of progression, and freedom from harmful code.

We do not promise that information on the website is complete, current, or error-free; that a release will occur on a particular date; that an account or progress will always remain available; or that every defect will be corrected. You use the services at your own risk. Nothing in these Terms limits a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chess Mutator and its operator, contributors, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss; lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunities; service interruption; device damage; or loss caused by unauthorized access, third-party services, network conditions, or content supplied by another user.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising from the services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the relevant service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD 100. This limit does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited, including certain fraud, wilful misconduct, death, personal injury, or mandatory consumer rights.

12. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Chess Mutator and its operator, contributors, contractors, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and reasonable expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, unlawful use, misuse of an account, infringement of another person’s rights, or material you submit. We may assume exclusive control of the defence of a claim, and you agree to cooperate.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the services, law, security practices, or business model changes. We will publish the revised version with a new effective date. If a change is material, we may provide an additional notice where reasonably practical. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the services and request account closure if needed.

14. Governing law and general provisions

Mandatory consumer protections and non-waivable rights in your country remain unaffected. Subject to those rights, these Terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be brought before the competent courts of Istanbul, Türkiye, unless mandatory law requires another forum.

If any provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any service-specific terms linked at the time of use, are the entire agreement about the services and replace prior statements about the same subject. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them as part of a reorganization, transfer, or change of control.
